Prom is a big event in many young people’s lives and arriving in style is a must. But for one Bristol secondary school leaver, a limousine or horse and cart weren’t the vehicles of choice to make her way to the big event.
Charlotte Passco was taken to her prom this year in a bright red Mercedes-Benz Actros truck, chauffeured by her dad, Andy Passco.
Andy, who is Head of Quality and Compliance at Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealer group Rygor, whose headquarters is in Westbury said: “It was such a proud moment for me to see my daughter graduate from secondary school, achieving brilliant GCSE results. I wanted to help make her leaver’s prom that bit more special and the look on her face when she came outside to see the Actros was brilliant!
“Robert Wilcox, owner of Massey Wilcox, one of Rygor’s loyal customers, was a great help in putting together this surprise for my daughter, as he kindly lent me the truck for the evening. It was a celebration that our family will never forget,” Andy added.
Charlotte’s joy was clear to see as she turned up at school in the mighty vehicle, a far cry from the usual black limos.
Charlotte said: “I was so shocked when I saw the truck which dad had organised to take me to prom. It was such a lovely thing for him to do and it made my prom even more exciting and memorable.”
