Rygor Takes Centre Stage as Overall Winners at the 2022 IOIC Awards

Rygor Commercials is delighted to announce a very special award win at the Institute of Internal Communications (IOIC) Awards 2022, held at The Brewery, London, Friday 23 September 2022. This awards ceremony celebrates outstanding internal communication work by organisations from around the world, and Rygor’s Internal Communications team was absolutely thrilled to win the Best Employee Experience campaign award for its entry: Retention through Communication: Being a Rewarding, Reliable and Respectful place to work.

This award recognises outstanding internal communication and employee engagement initiatives and for Rygor, this was about the enhancement of a robust onboarding and new starter process, supported by a vast range of ongoing employee engagement activities, which team members can get involved with and utilise. As part of its submission, Rygor clearly demonstrated the positive impact its Onboarding campaign has had on employee retention rates this year, and furthermore, the business has a clear strategy in place for the future, so it can continue to provide more of the things its team value most, promoting happiness at work.

The awards ceremony excitement didn't end with Rygor’s Best Employee Experience Campaign award win either. Out of nearly 200 entries overall, Rygor was awarded the IOIC Grand Prix award at the end of the evening. This prestigious award was presented to Rygor at the special request of the judges, as the panel felt that Rygor’s submission was backed up by the most succinct data, leading to demonstrable achievements and a clear plan for further enhancement.

These latest award wins top off an exciting September at Rygor, as the business was also recently shortlisted in both the EV Retailer of the Year and Employer of the Year categories at the upcoming Motor Trader awards. Furthermore, as a result of its team’s amazing feedback, Rygor was thrilled to achieve Great Place to Work Certification earlier this month.

Rygor’s Head of People & Communications, Kate Ruberry-Shoemack said: “It’s been a whirlwind of success here at Rygor this month, and this is down to our amazing team. We understand the importance of employee communication here at Rygor and always strive to do more and more to develop an incredible company culture, by listening to our team members and enhancing employee engagement. We want our team to feel part of something amazing, which is why we work so hard to reward and recognise our team members, build a culture of respect and positivity to promote retention of our incredibly skilled and dedicated team members. These award wins show that Rygor not only holds its own amongst some incredible and large international companies but is actually leading the way in employee engagement and communication. It’s great to have this hard work recognised in this way and we are already looking forward to next year’s IOIC awards.”

Rygor managing director, Tim Stacey, said: “At Rygor, we have invested in having a department dedicated to employee experience and communication, as our team members really are the heart of our business, and we work hard to ensure Rygor is a great place to work. 2022 has offered us the opportunity to go above and beyond yet again, to further improve what we offer our team, as well as our customers. It’s wonderful to know that as a business we are setting standards and leading the way in employee communication and engagement, to be able to deliver the very best results.”
