We are recruiting for qualified HGV Technicians to join our main dealerships across the country.

You will be carrying out servicing and repairs to Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles, to a high standard of quality and productivity. You will be working within a team of like-minded individuals and preparing quality paperwork

You will have a minimum qualification of City and Guilds level 3 certificate in commercial vehicles or equivalent. Mercedes-Benz training and experience, and a Class 1 licence, would be an advantage but we would consider your application if you have worked in a similar main dealer HGV environment. You will have a “fix first time” attitude together with excellent communication skills.

Essential skills and experience needed for the role:

  • Level 3 qualification; level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician
  • Ability to work within guidelines given and to strict deadlines
  • Be able to actively seek solutions to problems
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • HGV licence is an advantage

We are recruiting for a successful Workshop Manager to join our large and busy workshop in Swindon.

You will need to have previous experience on the tools as a qualified mechanic and proven leadership skills. As the Workshop Manager, is essential that you have a full understanding of all the Mercedes-Benz products and have a solid technical background.

This position would suite a Technician looking to progress their career into a senior role and come off the tools.

  • Previous experience within a busy commercial workshop
  • Mechanical knowledge and background
  • Show team leadership skills
  • Good customer relation skills to adapt to customers individual requirements
  • Ability to handle pressure without it affecting working relationships and effectiveness
  • Good basic administration knowledge
  • Hold self-organisational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Previous supervisory experience would be beneficial

Your day to day job will be to manage, assist and motivate technicians in order to run a successful and smooth-running workshop.

Main duties and responsibilities include but not limited to;

  • To supervise flow of work for their team and allocating work as required
  • To ensure that technicians are working at acceptable levels during shifts
  • To ensure that work is issued and completed to the agreed deadlines
  • Ensure that all customer complaints are dealt with both speedily and effectively
  • Responsible for providing technical support to team members as and when required
  • To ensure that a quality control procedure is carried out as per MBUK guidelines
  • Carry out regular performance assessments of team member

What you will be doing

As the Service Advisor, will be our service guru – you’ll be the first point of contact for all service needs, whether it be face to face or telephone enquiries, you are there to ensure our customers receive professional service from the moment they contact us. You will be assisting our customers through the requires service needs, from start to finish you are they to ensure no questions go unanswered and they receive quality and professional customer care.

Essential skills and experience needed for the role:

This is a vital role within the service process and requires extremely good attention to detail as you will be handling multiple jobs at one time.

You need to have precious Service Advisor experience within main dealership environment; we’re looking for someone with a passion for the automotive industry and is customer focussed. You need to have a professional approach to your work and able to communicate with both customers and colleagues with confidence and respect.

  • Previous Service Advisor experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Kerridge system
  • Strong customer service skills and experience
  • Strong administrational skills
  • Be able to work well under pressure
  • Extremely strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Be able to multitask at a strong level
