Parts Department

Role: Parts Advisor

Department: Parts

Branch/Location: Oxford

We are looking to recruit an experienced Parts Advisor to join our busy Parts department in Oxford. You will have outstanding customer service and understand the automotive industry.

Key Purpose of the Role:

Your main day to day job will involve receiving all parts orders and ensuring that they are accurately and promptly picked and despatched, providing advice on any additional requirements or prices, matching orders against stock items and advising customers of any items which need ordering. Alongside this, you need to ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to that area of responsibility are adhered to all the time.

Skills and experience needed;

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Quick learner
  • The ability to respond to different ways of working in the face of changing situations
  • Active listening & questioning
  • Previous dealership parts department/stock control experience an advantage
  • Good telephone answering/interpersonal skills
  • Previous parts department/stock control experience an advantage
  • Kerridge knowledge

Role: Parts Manager

Branch/Location: Heathrow
45 hours per week

We are looking to recruit an experienced Parts Manager to join our busy Parts department in Heathrow.
This position requires you to have a strong background within a Managerial role within Parts. We need someone who is highly experienced and knowledgeable within the commercial industry, alongside showing some knowledge of the Mercedes-Benz brand.

Key Purpose of the Role:

Your main job will be to manage and develop the Heathrow Parts department. You will be responsible for the Parts performance of the site and for the delivery of the business plan.
Other duties include, and not limited to;

  • Planning, controlling and monitoring process in customer service areas
  • Managing, developing, coaching and motivating employees to ensure a high quality of employee
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring service and invoicing regarding spare parts is carried out in a customer-oriented manner
  • Ensuring defective spare parts from complaints and warranty claims are returned correctly
  • Performance analysis

Skills and experience needed;

To qualify for this role, you must be enthusiastic about Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles and the products behind them. We need you to show passion and understanding for the department.

  • Motor industry experience and knowledge
  • Managerial experience
  • Track record in sales and profit delivery, cost and stock management control
  • Demonstrate dedication, team leadership and people management
  • Able to demonstrate empathy and approachability to others
  • Be able to adapt whilst still thrive in a changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous dealership / commercial parts department experience is essential
  • Excellent knowledge of Kerridge
  • Strong IT skills – Microsoft applications is essential
