Your Role

Your role is to ensure that Rygor Auto Mercedes-Benz and Fuso customers are fully supported in their transition to eMobility with the creation of bespoke holistic electrification solutions using Daimler Trucks UK’s eConsulting process. Working together with key internal and external stakeholders you will deliver a vital contribution to the success of the Mercedes Benz & FUSO eTruck dealer business. You will also be responsible for the detailed handover of trucks to all Rygor Auto customers requiring driver training, to ensure that all product benefits are understood and can be fully utilised, across both ICE and BEV products. Working with all members of the New Truck sales team to ensure that all opportunities are explored and benefitted from.


Day to day, you will:

  • Provide eConsultancy support and guidance to customers and internal colleagues to support the entire eTruck and charging infrastructure sales process.
  • Collaborate with the customer, DTUK’s Future Sustainability Team and charging partners to collect all charging relevant customer data, conduct route, depot and electricity grid analysis, in order to define a charging infrastructure recommendation.
  • Report eConsulting prospecting project status to the Rygor Auto Head of Truck on a weekly basis.
  • Presentation and technical explanation of the Mercedes-Benz and Fuso Trucks zero emission strategy, products and other relevant services (including eConsulting), to customers and internal stakeholders, working in conjunction with Sales Consultants.
  • Preparation and presentation of the customer eConsulting result report inclusive of route analysis, financial analysis (Total Cost of Ownership), depot analysis and next steps to recommend a comprehensive electrification plan including fleet implementation.
  • Responsible for the detailed handover of trucks to all Rygor Auto customers requiring driver training, to ensure that all product benefits are understood and can be fully utilised, across both ICE and BEV products.
  • Work in conjunction with the Head of Truck Sales, Sales Consultants and DTUK eSales Development Managers to assist in the development eTruck business plans and conquest strategies.
  • Implement and lead expert customer talks, to feedback and work closely with DTUK stakeholders in order to promote continuous innovation of the eConsulting process, ensuring we provide market leading customer solutions.
  • Lead expert eTruck talks and presentations at Rygor Auto eMobility events to promote Mercedes Benz and Fuso eTrucks and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with charging infrastructure partners, energy companies and hydrogen refuelling providers to optimise the scope of any customer offer.
  • Work in conjunction with the Sales Consultants to implement both new diesel (ICE) and new zero emission (BEV) vehicles in the customer fleet optimising the connectivity/services package to provide the best operational flexibility and efficiency for the customer.


This role will be a great fit for you if:

  • Relevant degree in automotive/engineering/business administration or equivalent educational status - Preferred.
  • Exemplary knowledge of the commercial vehicle industry - Preferred.
  • Heavy Goods Vehicle licence holder (C+E) advantageous
  • Sales process experience in the heavy vehicle industry - Preferred
  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills
  • Genuine demonstrable interest in electric vehicles, the eMobility ecosystem, charging infrastructure and sustainability. - Essential
  • Ability to identify, exploit and explain product strengths in a market environment
  • Strong customer orientation with a high collaborative approach
  • Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of the business
  • Proven presentation skills with ability to present in public
  • Ability to think at a strategic and tactical level
  • Ability to coordinate with partners discuss charging infrastructure and conduct depot analysis
