Role: LCV Technician

Location: Newbury

Hours/Shift: 40 hours per week, 8am - 4.30pm, overtime available and paid at time and a half

Role: MOT Tester

Location: Rygor Heathrow Van

Hours/Shift: 42.5 hrs per week -8am til 5pm

Qualifications: Level 3 RMI certification required, MOT licence required.

Van Technician x2 -Heathrow Van

Role: Van Technician

Location: Rygor Heathrow Van

Hours/Shift: 37.5 hrs per week -8am til 4pm

Qualifications: Level 3 RMI certification required

Role objective: To keep customer vehicles on the road, via quality, safe and compliant workmanship.

  • Receive job cards as allocated by the workshop controller and review work with supervisors as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Test drive vehicles and test components and systems, using equipment such as computerised diagnostic devices.
  • Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.
  • Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes.
  • Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas.
  • If required confer with customers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, to discuss work to be performed and identify future repair requirements.
  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups.
  • Repair and service air conditioning (when appropriately trained) heating, engine-cooling, and electrical systems.
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer’s performance specifications.
  • Repair and rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, and linkages.
  • Identifying errors / problems and determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections to evaluate quality or performance.
  • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Operating Vehicles, Mechanised Devices, or Equipment — driving vehicles and operating workshop equipment
  • Analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution to solve problems.
  • Keeping up-to-date technically and applying knowledge to your job.
  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.


WorkShop Controller/Administrator - Reading

Role: Workshop Controller/Administrator

Location: Reading

Working Hours: 07:30 - 17:00 Monday-Friday, Saturdays on rota

Extra Information: Bonuses will paid on achieving monthly site targets

Role objective: We are looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Controller/Administrator to act as a point of liaison between the workshop and the front desk, to manage workload and assist in providing excellent levels of customer service.
This role is not under active recruitment but will 'go live' when Rygor moves into its newest site, later in 2021/early 2022. We are currently seeking to interview candidates who understand this role is not available immediately, but who are interested in applying for this exciting future opportunity.

Senior Parts Advisor - Nuneaton

Role: Senior Parts Advisor

Location: Nuneaton

Role information: Working 42.5 hours per week from 7am to 6pm, with Saturdays on rota from 7.30am - 12.30pm, 20 days annual leave entitlement and bonuses paid against achieving KPIs, the successful applicant will To meet and exceed customer expectations and maximise parts department profitability, whilst ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. The applicant must have at least 5 years commercial vehicle Parts Advisor experience and be able to use Kerridge competently. In addition they will need the following skills and experience:

  • Customer orientated
  • Conducts themselves in a professional and trustworthy manner
  • Focus on providing customers with the best options for them, whilst promoting parts sales and upselling
  • Clear and competent communicator, with a positive and innovative outlook
  • Happy to make decisions for the benefit of colleagues, customers and the business

Parts/Workshop Controller - Didcot VMU

Role: Parts/Workshop Controller

Location: Didcot VMU

Role information: Working 45 hours per week from 8am to 5pm, with 20 days annual leave entitlement, the successful applicant will will support the Parts Department to deliver exceptional customer service and control the flow of work through the fleet workshop to maximise its utilisation and ensure technicians are working efficiently and safely. The successful applicant will meet and exceed customer expectations and maximise workshop profitability, whilst ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to, at all times.

Skills and experience required:

  • Industry qualifications achieved to a minimum of Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or mechanical engineering (all modules completed).
  • Previous experience as a Senior Technician.
  • Good basic administrative knowledge.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Full understanding of Standard Text Times and Warranty procedures.
  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Previous experience within a Parts Advisor role advantage
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Flexible approach to work, be able to adapt and thrive in a changing environment.
  • Previous dealership parts department/stock control experience an advantage.

Oxford - New and Used Van Sales Executive

Role: New and Used Van Sales Executive

Location: Oxford

Role information: The successful applicant will proactively research and identify contacts and develop new business opportunities for both new and used Mercedes Benz products. In addition they will:

  • Represent the Rygor sales team in a positive, professional manner, covering the showroom and dealing with incoming enquires as required.
  • Establish and develop internal contacts within the Rygor group that support Sales.
  • Hold sales presentations and provide customers with information and advice on Mercedes-Benz light commercial new and used vehicles, equipment, and accessories.
  • Successfully conclude sales contracts making required amendments, manage orders and supervise order processing.
