Workshop/Service

We are committed to investing in your career and skill set, so when you join our technical team you will benefit from extensive Mercedes-Benz training. At Rygor, we also put all our technicians through the IRTEC Inspection Accreditation, part of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers. An IRTEC Accreditation certifies the skills and safety of technicians working in road transport, indicating an ability of the highest calibre.

Hours/Shift: 40 Hours - 06:00 to 14:30 then 13:30 to 22:00 the following week with a Saturday morning 8:00 to 13:00

Extra information: 20 Days holiday

Qualifications required: HGV licence

Experience and skills:

  • Previous working experience as a Technician with a strong technical background.
  • Safe working practices.
  • Process driven.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Dedicated to achieving high quality standards.
  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills.

Hours/Shift: 38 Hours per week - 8pm -6am Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday each week. Overtime available at 1.5 x base rate of pay.

Qualifications required: HGV Class 1 licence desired but not essential. Minimum of class 2. Level 3 qualified.

  • Previous working experience as a Technician with a strong technical background.

Hours/shift: 37.5 hrs – 8am – 4pm

Extra information: 20 days per year holiday entitlement. Overtime available at 1.5 x base rate of pay.

Qualifications required/desired: Desired RMI Certification essential. Level 3 desired but not essential.

Hours: 42.5 hrs a week – 8am to 5pm (1/2 hr lunch)

Extra information: 20 days holiday per year. Bonus system based on MOT throughout after successful probation period. Overtime available at 1.5 x base rate of pay.

Qualifications required/desired: MOT licence required. Level 3 desired but not essential.

Hours/Shift: 40 hours per week, 8am until 4.30pm. Overtime when required (paid at time and a half)

Extra information: 20 days holiday. Bonuses against KPIs available.

Role objective: To keep customer vehicles on the road, via quality, safe and compliant workmanship.

Hours/Shift: Rotating shifts 06:00-14:00 wk1 and 14:00-22:00 plus Saturday 07:00-13:00 wk2

Qualifications: Level 3 qualified

Role objective: To keep customer vehicles on the road, via quality, safe and compliant workmanship.

Hours/Shift: 4 on, 4 off. 6pm-6am.

Qualifications: Class 1 HGV license and level 3 qualified

Hours/Shift: 4 on, 4 off, nights

Qualifications: Class 1 HGV license, level 3 qualified, IRTEC accreditation

Role objective: We are looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Controller/Administrator to act as a point of liaison between the workshop and the front desk, to manage workload, and assist in providing excellent levels of customer service.

This role is not under active recruitment but will 'go live' when Rygor moves into its newest site, later in 2021/early 2022. We are currently seeking to interview candidates who understand this role is not available immediately, but who are interested in applying for this exciting future opportunity.

Hours/ shift: 45 per week between Monday to Friday on an alternating shift basis; week one 7.00 am to 4.00 pm and week two 9:00 am to 6:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break, and alternating Saturdays 7:30am to 1:30pm, however flexibility may be required in exceptional circumstances.

Extra information: Annual holidays are 23 days per year (January to December) which must be taken before end December. Holidays cannot be carried over. After 5 completed years of service your leave entitlement will increase 1 day per year for 5 years, maximising at 28 days.

Parts

Role objective: To control the flow of work through the fleet workshop to maximise its utilisation and ensure technicians are working efficiently and safely. To meet and exceed customer expectations and maximise workshop profitability, whilst ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to, at all times.

Main duties include:

  • Pre-time each job and allocate work to technicians to maximise their efficiency.
  • Monitor job progress to ensure completion time is met and work is completed to the expected quality standards.
  • Obtain authorisation for any additional work required.
  • To supervise, develop and train the workshop team to achieve the highest possible levels of performance.
  • To monitor workshop loading and ensure continuity.
  • Receive job cards for completed jobs to ensure work has been completed correctly; time completed jobs so that job costing can be completed and ensuring all warranty items are highlighted and all associated documentation is completed.
  • Arrange for customer to be informed that vehicle has been completed and return in a clean and tidy condition.
  • To take responsibility for subcontracted repairs and ensure the quality of such repairs.
  • Ensure that proper use is made of technical information and that it is maintained up to date.
  • Ensure that the image and levels of customer service within the department are in line with Rygor standards.
  • Ensure MOT process is followed.
  • Ensure that all special tools and equipment are kept in good order and that repair requirements are notified to the Fleet VMU Manager once discovered.
  • Ensure the workshop is kept clean and tidy and a safe working environment is maintained.
  • Be responsible for the supervision of technical team members, ensuring their designated duties are performed correctly, highlighting any challenges or shortfall areas to their immediate supervisor.
  • Ensure within their area of operation that all Company and Trade Associations policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and that all statutory requirements including trading standards, vehicle legislation, fire, health and safety etc. are adhered to.

Experience and skills:

  • Industry qualifications achieved to a minimum of Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or mechanical engineering (all modules completed).
  • Previous experience as a Senior Technician.
  • Good basic administrative knowledge.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Full understanding of Standard Text Times and Warranty procedures.
  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Good leadership skills and at least one year’s supervisory experience in service.



Sales - Van and Truck

Hours/Shift: 45 hrs per week plus weekend on rota

Role information: Competitive salary plus (unlimited) commission and bonuses. 25 days holiday per year. Company vehicle plus laptop, fuel card, and mobile provided.

Our headquarters is located in Westbury, Wiltshire. This is where our sales admin, marketing, accounts, IT, HR contracts, and warranty teams are based, along with our Westbury sales and aftersales departments. Key purpose of the role:

  • To proactively develop and manage the Marketing strategy and campaign execution in conjunction with board directives and other key stakeholders, to
    support the achievement of Rygor’s strategy and volume targets, growth plans, and budgets.
  • To manage and maintain data within all applicable database systems (ADP/Marketing Database etc.) including data cleansing, acquisition, reporting, segmentation/profiling and ongoing analysis to drive and support effective marketing communications across the Rygor business.
  • To deliver effective Aftersales marketing to retail and fleet audiences, encompassing traditional BTL and Digital methods and channels.
  • To mentor, motivate, and manage other members of the Marketing team as an effective line manager.

Background of the role:

A key position within the marketing team of a leading commercial vehicle dealer Group, representing global automotive brands.

The activity covers traditional DM, eDM/digital, retail marketing and social media, within in a traditional B2B marketing arena with some crossover into B2C for specific products.

Tight deadlines are an integral part of the role, so a cool, calm, collected approach is needed. Prioritisation of workload is key requirement, as is the ability to work well on a solus basis, and within a team environment.

We develop large numbers of planned and tactical campaigns, so a keen sense of good creative and an ability to interpret internal stakeholder briefs is key to delivering well thought through measurable campaigns, which deliver results. Effective communication skills are essential, with the ability to delegate as and when necessary. Additionally, the ability to manage and motivate internal departments (e.g. Sales, Aftersales, etc.), as well as external suppliers and partners is vital to this role.

Interaction and collaboration with our represented brand organisation representatives at all levels, is also a key element of the role.
