Rygor accepts the challenge again for Bath Superstars!

Monday 24th November 2014

Team Rygor is proud to be supporting the Bath Rugby Foundation once again this year by entering not one, but two teams into the Bath Rugby Superstars Challenge 2015!

To create even more competition, this year two of Rygor’s Directors have stepped up to the plate to each lead a team. The Rygor Accounts team will be led by our Finance Director, Martyn Morant, a longstanding supporter of the Foundation, who has tasted success at the Superstars Challenge previously, placing in bronze position at last year’s event.

Martyn said: “The Bath Rugby Foundation is a charity that aims to make a positive impact through sport and education, on the lives of young children with social and other disadvantages.

“The Superstars event has proved to be a really entertaining and engaging way to raise funds for the charity, bringing together local schools, businesses and sporting celebrities for a fun day of team competition and fund raising,” Martyn said.

Taking on the Accounts team is Sales Director, John Keogh who will be joined by members of his sales team.

John said: “The Bath Rugby Foundation is an incredibly worthwhile charity and the Rygor sales team and I, greatly look forward to the event day – an enjoyable occasion which helps raise both funds and the profile of the cause.”

The Foundation runs events for inclusion into sport for children who may not be able to readily access these types of activities. Rygor has passionately supported the cause for several years and is thrilled to be able to continue to do this, this year.

The two teams have been each be allocated their very own ‘Superstar’ who will make up the fifth member of the team. Rygor is delighted to announce that our Superstars will be Zoe Smith, British Clean and Jerk weightlifting champion and Commonwealth medallist and Bath Rygby’s very own Danny Grewcock, who has of course also played for England and the British Lions.

Halena Coury, Head of Fundraising and Sponsorship said “Superstars is an annual sporting challenge which brings together sports superstars and local businesses, with the aim of raising funds for Bath Rugby Foundation. We are absolutely delighted that Rygor is supporting the event again this year by entering a number of teams and we are sure that they will once again raise an exceptional amount of money for Bath Rugby Foundation.”

This event will be a lot of fun and a fair bit of physical effort for our teams, so if you feel this is something you would like to support, our very own Superstars would be delighted if you would donate to the Foundation –
