At Rygor, we have been working hard to follow Government guidelines while continuing to support our customers to the best of our ability during this challenging time. Many of our customers provide essential goods and services to the local community and we are doing whatever it takes to support these key workers safely.
While our workshops have remained open throughout the pandemic, our show rooms were temporarily closed throughout April as our sales team worked remotely. We are delighted to have opened our doors again from 1st June and have implemented a number of changes around the business to help protect our staff and our customers.
Please note: The safety of our team members and customers is paramount, so in line with Government guidelines, from 24th July, we are requesting that customers visiting our showrooms and reception areas wear a face mask.
Our showrooms are now open with social distancing measures in place, including hand sanitising stations, socially distanced floor markers and Perspex screens at desks so we can safely facilitate customer facing business.
All of our workshops remain open and are functioning as normally as possible. We are able to keep technicians and front of house staff separated, working as socially distanced as possible. Contactless vehicle drop- off is in place for all pre-booked service appointments with contact areas cleaned before customer collection. We have had capacity to accommodate all customers’ needs at the right time however, we are of course prioritising emergency vehicles, home delivery vehicles and other key workers.
We are still able to carry out van MOTs at our Gloucester, Kidderminster, Reading and Westbury branches. This is to support those who wish to remain on schedule rather than taking the government extension option outlined in March. We are now encouraging people to visit us for a vehicle health check for their van or truck to enable them to get back to business as quickly and as safely as possible when restrictions ease.
When it comes to HGV inspections we’ve extended our support to all business, no matter what make or model, so Mercedes-Benz or not, we’re ensuring all heavy goods vehicles can keep on schedule at a discounted rate to continue to provide vital supplies and services.
We are still able to provide a 24-hour, 365 day roadside assistance service and our 24hr technicians are wearing clean gloves for every job, maintaining a 2m distance from drivers and wiping down the key touch points of the vehicle before customers get on their way.

Our parts department remains open with new Perspex screens at the front desk and social distancing markers in place. We have a wide availability of stock across our sites and are delivering Mercedes-Benz GenuineParts across the country offering an efficient service straight to homes or businesses to ensure key workers can get back on the road as quickly as possible. To reduce the number of people in-branch at any time, we’re encouraging customers to save time and stay safe by using our online parts store, which is just a few clicks away.

“We’re a Heathrow-based pharmaceuticals and logistics company and right now we are dealing with many urgent deliveries across the UK and Europe including deliveries for the COVID-19 pandemic. As you can imagine, uptime is absolutely key for to us to do our job.
“We have several highly-specified Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans on our fleet, which we have purchased through the Heathrow branch of Rygor. Just before the weekend, we needed a service on a vehicle, and another had an engine management light on. We took the vans into Rygor on the Friday, one of which was needed for a delivered to Germany and Austria on the Saturday morning and the other to Portugal on the Monday.
“Alan and the whole team at Rygor Heathrow understood how important it was for us to get these vehicles on the road, safely and as soon as possible. To carry pharmaceuticals, our vehicles are specifically built and go through a 6-week validation, so we cannot simply hire another van to do the job. We needn’t have worried though as the team at the site identified a parts requirement and got the part to the workshop the same day, so the technicians could do the repair overnight. We picked up the vehicle Saturday morning and were back on the road to meet our delivery deadlines.
“We received an exceptional service level from the team at Rygor Heathrow. They completely understood our business needs and I can only say that they really went the extra mile to get us back on the road.”
