We are delighted to announce that one of our extremely talented third year technical apprentices, Harry Frolich, has been revealed as a Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle Apprentice of the Year finalist.
Harry joined Rygor back in 2017 to undertake his apprenticeship, and this accolade is not his first during his time with the business. Not only was Harry also announced as a finalist last year at the same awards, but he was also named Rygor’s Apprentice of the Year at this year’s Setting Standards awards.
Based out of our Heathrow site, Harry has worked hard over the past few years to embed himself into the team at the branch, learning from those around him to succeed in his training.
Sean Joyce, Heathrow service manager, said: “Harry has always been keen to learn from those around him, to put his heart and soul into everything he does. Over the past few years not only has his knowledge grown, but so has his confidence, which has been brilliant to see. He’s a natural when it comes to maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles, but an apprenticeship is not only about the hands-on skills. As much as Harry loves the practical side of his training, he has committed just as much to his academic learning at the Mercedes-Benz Academy. Harry truly deserves this recognition and myself, and the whole team are extremely proud of him.”
Harry said: “It was great to find out that I was a finalist again this year, it really means a lot. 2020 has been an unusual year for everyone, but I have really appreciated having been able to continue to work in our Heathrow workshop, to help my colleagues keep our customers and critical workers on the road. It’s really helped me see the importance of what we all do, and I am looking forward to my final, improver year of my course.”
