Massey Wilcox

Massey Wilcox

Wherever Steve Look, who with 25 years of service under his belt, is one of Massey Wilcox’s longest serving drivers, is in the world, Massey Wilcox HQ can track the truck, using Fleetboard.

Fleetboard comes as standard on the Actros and monitors driver performance, fuel consumption and tracks vehicle location, to help save money through fuel efficiency and driver performance.

“When I started driving the new Actros, which was commissioned especially for Massey Wilcox’s 60th anniversary, I had the opportunity to receive driver training from Guy Danvers at Rygor.

I have driven a lot of trucks in my time, but I thought it was a good idea to have a bit of updated training, as every truck is different. Guy, who delivered the training was great, really helpful and had a lot of knowledge of the industry and having been a driver himself, he truly understood what was important to me and the company.

The training allowed me to enhance my driving style to get the best out of the truck and ensure that I was driving in the most fuel efficient way. Little adjustments on driving style can save a lot of money when it comes to fuel efficiency.

With the Fleetboard system too, the team at our headquarters receives regular reports, which allows them to review driving style and fuel economy. These reports allow them and me to ensure that we are getting the most out of our trucks, which is a real benefit to the company.”
