Why FUSO eCanter

Economical solution

eCanter makes economic sense due to 30% less maintenance costs in comparison to diesel engines. You will also benefit from potential fuel savings of €1,000 per 10,000 km depending on diesel and power prices.

When taking these savings into consideration, the additional costs of purchasing an eCanter will be paid for over the first three years.

Inside the eCanter

The forward thinking design approach for the eCanter also compliments its technical features. The futuristic cabin design combines functionality with comfort. Driver oriented design comes complete with 12″ displays, push start, button shift and comfortable seats. Plus adaptive lighting ensures a car like ambience.

How powerful is the electric engine?

The power of the electric motor is 115kW with a maximum torque of 390Nm which is available from the very first second.

Are the same transmissions available for the eCanter as for the Diesel Canter?

No, eCanter uses a reduction gearbox which is connected directly to the transmission shaft. This means the eCanter is able to speed up to the legal speed limit for trucks without shifting gear. This results in less wear and constant acceleration.

How much capacity does the battery of the eCanter have?

Every battery pack has a capacity of 13.8kWh. The eCanter has six battery packs and a total capacity of 82.8kWh.

How much does a battery pack weigh?

One battery pack weighs 112kg. With a GVW of 7.49t, the eCanter still offers a chassis-payload of 4.5t.

How much time does it take to charge the eCanter?

It is possible to charge the eCanter both with AC and DC via a CCS Type 2 charger (EU conform). This means it is possible to reach 80% capacity within one hour. Via AC it will take up to 9 hours to reach 80% capacity.

How can the vehicle support you in your daily work?

Your daily route can be optimised via smart navigation according to FUSO service center and charging stations. eCanter’s connectivity system is able to scan loads directly and evaluate the free loading space to navigate you directly to your next loading point, to make sure the best possible occupancy rate is given.

What is the range of the eCanter?

The eCanter has a range of about 100km which is sufficient for the daily use of local government and urban delivery companies according to the latest findings in our current fleet customer test in Stuttgart, Germany. In the future modular battery packs will be available to extend the range. To ensure eCanter meets your needs, battery packs will be customisable.

With new functionalities, is the operation of the vehicle difficult?

Quite the contrary, the transmission system is now easier to handle than ever: via the push-start-button you can start the eCanter and via switches you can choose the different drive modes: P, D, N and R.

Is there any special maintenance necessary for the eCanter?

At Rygor, we only employ Fuso trained technicians who will have been specially trained to service and maintain your eCanter. Due to system constraints the parts in the power-train are nearly wear-free and very low in maintenance. Only the cooling liquid of the high voltage system will need to be changed regularly.
