Rygor celebrates a five-star Mercedes-Benz Vans performance
The Rygor Group’s van sales team took centre stage at the latest Mercedes-Benz Van Academy Awards by winning in no fewer than five of the 12 categories!
After posting an outstanding set of results in 2016, Rygor carried off the trophies for Sales Team, Retail Sales Team, Fleet Sales Team and Mercedes-Benz Finance Team of the Year.
To underline the Dealer Group’s all round strength, Marketing & Customer Service Director Julie Steed and Reading branch Manager Adrian Neale collected the special prize presented by the manufacturer each year to the individual site which provided the highest level of after sales support to leading fleet customer DPD, while it was also short-listed for Retailer of the Year.
Rygor sells and supports the industry-leading Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Vito and Citan van ranges from a dozen locations across Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Somerset, Warwickshire, West London, Wiltshire and Worcestershire. It was one of the first members of the manufacturer’s UK Dealer Network to secure accreditation as a Mercedes-Benz Van ProCenter – this demanding standard of excellence requires best-in-class product presentation and availability, and assures customers of an unrivalled quality of care.

These are exciting times for the Rygor Group, as it continues to invest in the expertise of its team and the quality of its facilities. Over the past 12 months it has set the seal on a major refurbishment of its Kidderminster branch and opened a new, purpose-built, ‘flagship’ dealership in Gloucester. Developed on a 3.5-acre site at the city’s Railway Triangle, the £4-million project has created one of the country’s finest commercial vehicle dealerships, with a light and airy, customer-focused showroom, and comprehensively-equipped workshops for trucks as well as vans.
Committed to Setting Standards, Rygor also invests heavily in the training and development of colleagues at all levels of the business, from youngsters who annually begin their Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Technical Apprenticeships, to senior managers. The Dealer recently announced its decision to put all of its workshop technicians through the Society of Operations Engineers’ irtec licensing scheme, which assesses the safety and competence of those who maintain and repair vehicles in the commercial vehicle, trailer and passenger carrying industries.
