Rygor Rovers Revs into action in local football league

Thursday 22nd January 2015

Always keen to rise to the challenge and set standards in every endeavour, the team at Rygor Heathrow dusted off their football boots, donned their PE kits and entered into the Ashford and Middlesex, Pot of Gold football league.

Bringing together team members from van and truck sales, after sales, our workshop and our 24hour call-out team – the Rygor Rovers were born, not to mention, match ready!

John Lloyd, Rygor Heathrow Van Sales Manager and Rygor Rovers Manager, said: “At Rygor, all our departments come together to deliver the highest standards of service for our customers, which is why I felt it was also important to bring our Heathrow team together outside of the branch. All keen footballers (or supporters, at least) in our spare time, we felt this local league was the perfect opportunity to keep healthy and get involved in the local community.”

The season was a successful one for the Rygor Rovers and last week’s final match of the season saw the team take second place in the league.

“The league is a bit of fun and a good opportunity for team building, but it is fantastic that we came so high in the league. We look forward to entering again next year, and you never know, that trophy may be ours!”
