Rygor Expands Expert Business Development Team
Award winning Mercedes-Benz Vans Dealer group, Rygor has enhanced further its Business Development Team, with the addition of four new colleagues.
The department, headed up by Group Van Business Development Manager, Dominic Ilbury, was put in place at the beginning of 2018 to offer businesses looking to invest in multiple light commercial vehicles, a dedicated team who could guide and support them through the purchasing process. Since the beginning of the year, the team has expanded further with an additional business development manager and two new support executives.
“It’s about being a consultancy function for businesses with fleet needs,” says Dominic Ilbury. “This is where our BDM team here at Rygor adds value to our customers. It’s not about the quick sale, but becoming a true business partner, working with our customers to find the best solution to their fleet needs.”
The sales element of the team has been complemented by new recruit Stephen Anderson, who specialises in complex vehicle conversions. “I previously worked at Mercedes-Benz Vans UK for 15 years, so have a deep understanding and love of the brand. My expertise lies in guiding customers through complicated vehicle conversions and I am looking forward to working closely with our customers now at dealer level.”
Dawn Smith, business development manager, said: “Having worked in the industry for a while and at Rygor for the past couple of years, I really believe that Rygor is one step ahead. We are always looking to be at the forefront of the industry so we can help our customers in the best way. I love getting to know my customers, almost working as an in-house support mechanism for them and their fleet teams.”
Long standing team member, Paul Naylor has a significant background in commercial vehicle sales and the Rygor business, having joined Rygor in 2015 as van sales executive at its Oxford branch. “For me, now being a Business Development Manager, it’s about offering our customers a tailored and dedicated sales experience, taking the time to get to know them and understand their business.”
The sales team is backed up by two new support team members, Gemma Peers and Lucy Thomas. “We are a dedicated point of contact for our customers when it comes to anything administrative. Our customers know that they can get hold of us to help with any of their queries,” Gemma said.
Lucy added, “Having come from a Mercedes-Benz passenger car background, I really love the brand and I know customers value my passion for and knowledge of the product.”
