Rygor Appoints New Health & Safety Manager
Mercedes-Benz Dealer Group, Rygor, has welcomed a new senior team member to the business, in the form of Health and Safety Manager, Charlie Cribbes.
Grown out of a family-run haulage business based in the Mendip Hills in the 1960s, the Rygor Group now employs more than 700 team members. As it stands today, the business boasts 11 Mercedes-Benz dealerships, more than 10 vehicle maintenance units, as well as Rygor Group Services, the haulage arm of the company.
“The Group has come a very long way since its beginnings and over the past 10 years we have grown substantially,” commented Tim Stacey, Rygor owner director who celebrated 10 years of ownership in July, along with partners Graham Drake and Paul Reed. “The health and safety of our team and our customers is paramount, which is why we are delighted to expand our health and safety personnel with Charlie, who will be overseeing the division.”
Charlie brings to his new role extensive experience of managing health and safety on construction sites. He also started his career as a commercial vehicle engineer, so has a true understanding of the industry. Charlie has a passion for working with teams to educate and help them do their jobs in the safest way.
Charlie said: “It is fantastic to join a business which really cares about the welfare of its team and its customers. Rygor has a great health and safety record and the introduction of my role within the business demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to health and safety.
“I look forward to working with our team members at all of our sites across the business to help them embrace and implement practices which continue to put safety first,” Charlie added.
