More than 20 Rygor team members came together in the Dealership’s showroom to pedal and row a fantastic 486 miles, collectively. Each doing a stint on an air bike, rowing machine and spin bike, the energetic team members raised in excess of £700 to go towards their annual target of £6,000 for James Hopkins Trust, Bath Cats and Dogs Home and Dorothy House Hospice Care.
Graham Drake, owner director at Rygor, said: “This was a fantastic event, and although was quite a challenge for some of us, it was also a lot of fun! It is always great to see our team come together to raise money for charities which are very close to the heart of the company.
“Our thanks also go to Jon and Martin at Club 24 Fitness in Westbury for, not only supplying the gym equipment for our challenge, but for being there throughout the day to oversee the event, encourage the team and even take part themselves!” Graham added.
Henrietta Beard, corporate and major donor fundraiser at Dorothy House Hospice Care, said: “Once again, the dynamic team from Rygor has risen to the challenge of supporting Dorothy House Hospice Care in a unique way with their ambitious triathlon-style event. Rygor’s on-going support is most welcome and very much appreciated as the hospice aims to continue to deliver excellence in end of life care to the community in our 700 sq mile region.”
Sarah James, head of fundraising at James Hopkins Trust, said: “The triathlon sounds like it was a super exhausting event, but it is lovely to work as a team to raise money for charities. We are so very appreciative of everything Rygor is doing to help Gloucestershire’s life limited and life threatened young children. James Hopkins Trust needs great friends like Rygor to be able to offer desperately needed respite – without Rygor’s precious support we would find it very difficult to do so.”
Zena Jones, senior fundraiser at Bath Cats and Dogs Home, said: “Our huge thanks to the Rygor team for taking on this terrific challenge, 486 miles is a long way! Bath Cats and Dogs Home is delighted to have Rygor’s support this year, and because of them we’ll be able to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome unwanted animals in the local area, we can’t thank them enough.”
Jon Green, joint owner at Westbury-based, Club 24 Fitness, said: "It was a pleasure to be a part of a fantastic charity event and to work alongside Rygor to provide the equipment. Everyone involved had a superb day and worked extremely hard to achieve the target distance. We look forward to providing equipment for many more charity events in the future.”
