The Canter Eco Hybrid is packed full of highly economical and efficient hybrid drive technology. Every time the driver lifts a foot off the accelerator, the diesel engine is taken offline, and a generator kicks in feeding electrical power back to the batteries. It also uses regenerative braking, converting kinetic power into electrical engine power. So it saves every drop of fuel it can. Like a lot of the Canter Eco Hybrid’s features the oil-cooled motor is designed to be more efficient, compact and lightweight.

4 Driving Modes
The Canter Eco Hybrid has four different driving modes, and continuously switches to the mode that’s best suited to the current driving environment. This ensures optional torque, fuel efficient, low emission performance during driving, smooth response whilst accelerating and effective regeneration while braking.
SafetyThe RISE body uses crumple zones to effectively absorb collision energy and reinforced beams to direct it around and away from the cabin occupants. In addition, 3-point Electronic Locking and Retracting (ELR) seatbelts with pre-tensioners further reduce the chance of injury by tightening during emergency braking to reduce movement. Airbags are fitted to the driver side and also the passenger side as standard in some models.
