Technician (Reading)
We are looking for individuals who have experience of working with HGVs, in particular, Mercedes-Benz trucks. With the ability to understand technical work instructions, you must be able to work to standard repair guidelines and to adhere to company regulations. With knowledge of all current Health and Safety regulations, you will need to be able to develop knowledge of electronic tools and the Mercedes-Benz product.
As part of the service department, you will service customer’s vehicles in line with manufacturers’ guidelines and procedures. Organised and hard working, you will complete the necessary work as specified on the job card, ensuring that all documentation is completed and signed off by management. You will also inspect the vehicles before and after repair and report any damages and to ensure that is left clean and tidy after the work has been carried out.
To ensure a clean and safe working environment, you will keep tools in their designated areas, label and store parts correctly and report any faults found to either the Workshop Controller or Workshop Manager.
